FACES SF News - August 2013
Week of Caring
Each year FACES SF opens its doors to volunteers from United Way's Week of Caring Campaign. This year the volunteers, who typically hail from Bay Area businesses, can spend serious face time with our children at one of three sites: at our Bayview and Masonic Child Development centers or our Hayes Valley Infant/Toddler Center. Activities might include reading to the children at story time, spending time with them in the park, or working on projects together. It is also a great opportunity to witness the daily routine of a non-profit in action as it serves San Francisco's working poor. This year, Week of Caring will take place the week of September 16-21. If you are interested in registering your work team to volunteer their time, please contact Jenna Gauger at email@example.com.
Preschool Graduates Shine!
In June children from our Masonic Avenue child development center graduated preschool! Not only that, they celebrated this milestone with their parents and teachers and had a chance to shine and share their accomplishment. Take a look at the video to see how it went.
